Pendleton has mature trees, some of which have root basins that are 4 to 5 feet across. There were still some downed trees throughout the town on Wednesday.

Officials have said only one minor injury was reported in Madison County. Madison County Emergency Management spokesman Todd Harmeson told IndyStar that the number accounts for the homes that involved search and rescue from the county sheriff's office. The number of Madison County homes that were damaged in the storm wasn't immediately known by officials on Wednesday.
Harmeson said crews inspected about homes on Tuesday and plan to inspect more. Damage could be anything from missing shingles to a collapsed house, Harmeson said. Because the damage to each home can vary, officials say it's unknown when it will be completely fixed. When crews finish inspecting homes, they'll provide the information to the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, which is helping with the damage response, Harmeson said. The possibility of storms still lingers in the town this weekaccording to the NWS' forecast.
